I obtained a Honors and a Masters degree in the field of Law. After 6 years of practicing as an attorney I started working as a part-time lecturer. The academia fascinated me and I became a full time Senior Lecturer. My research interests however developed during my years of teaching. As I reflect on my beliefs regarding teaching and learning, I find that my mission as a lecturer is to promote positive learning and to equip the student with practical knowledge and soft skills for the workplace. To accomplish this, I enjoy researching strategies based on essential educational principles encompassing cognitive functioning, learning theory, diversity issues, instructional planning and assessment.
